I'm feeling that what my netbook needs is a User Experience refresh as XP is a bit long in the tooth. I'm not impressed by Windows 7 as a UX and I really don't need Windows 7 to run the apps I want to run..
I've dabbled with various linux solutions, including Fedora, Ubuntu netbook Remix, MeeGo and Jolicloud. They're all nice, but as much as I love linux on a server, I'm just not at home with it on the desktop, and beyond that there are too many applications, games and hardware devices I use under XP that I cannot get running on Linux. Besides, I like XP. Combined with a pile of open source and low footprint apps (typically portable apps), it works great.
There is a good place to get netbooks with XP system. Please click here for more information.
